Hillary Clinton was named the winner of the Louisiana Democratic primary just minutes after polls closed, besting Sen. Bernie Sanders, according to several media outlets. With 97 percent of the vote in, Clinton has earned 71 percent of the vote to Sanders' 23 percent. Clinton was favored in the state because of its large population of African-American voters, a demographic that carried her to victory in the South Carolina primary and among whom she generally enjoys strong support. Sanders won the Kansas and Nebraska caucuses earlier Saturday.
