Marco Rubio's campaign is urging his supporters in Ohio to vote for Kasich instead

If you're a supporter of Marco Rubio in Ohio, the Rubio campaign would rather you vote for John Kasich. Rubio communications director Alex Conant actually suggested such a strategy Friday, indicating that if Republican voters really want to vanquish Donald Trump in the Buckeye State's GOP primary Tuesday, Ohio Gov. John Kasich is the candidate they should cast their vote for instead.
"If you are a Republican primary voter in Ohio and you want to defeat Donald Trump, your best chance in Ohio is John Kasich," Conant told CNN.
Conant contends that Rubio shares that same home-state advantage in Florida. Despite the polls showing Rubio lagging far behind Trump, Conant says that the Sunshine State's senator is the candidate in the best position to beat Trump in Florida's winner-take-all primary Tuesday.
