Lindsey Graham to host Ted Cruz fundraiser Monday
Sen. Lindsey Graham will host a fundraiser on Monday during the AIPAC policy conference in support of Sen. Ted Cruz, despite Graham being outspokenly anti-Cruz just weeks ago, CNN reports. Earlier this month, for example, Graham told colleagues that, "If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you." Graham has also said that nominating Cruz would be akin to being shot or poisoned.
A Jeb Bush supporter after his own short-lived presidential bid, Graham's about-face further shows that many Republicans — senators included — now consider Cruz as the only option to beat Donald Trump.
