TBS ordered a full season of Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, The Hollywood Reporter reports. The satire series' run is now up to 39 episodes total, which will air through 2016. The renewal Monday means The Daily Show veteran will still be holding down the fort as the only woman in late night.
"Sam has positioned herself as an essential voice in late night, and it's pretty clear she's struck a nerve and filled a void," said Brett Weitz, TBS' executive vice president of original programming.
The show, which has averaged 3.7 million viewers per episode since its February premiere, is on a break until April 11, and its writers are apparently hibernating. Julie Kliegman
