Watch the first trailer for Star Wars spin-off Rogue One
The trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has landed! The film, set many years before The Force Awakens, tells the story of a group of resistance fighters who have set out to steal the plans for the Death Star. The cast is star-studded, featuring Felicity Jones, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, and Diego Luna, with Godzilla director Gareth Edwards at the helm.
Because it is a prequel, there is no Finn or Rey this time around — and if the trailer is any indication, this could be one of the darker tales set in the Star Wars universe. Rogue One is set to be released Dec. 16. Watch below. Jeva Lange
