At least 8 killed, shooter on the loose in Ohio murders

At least eight people have been killed in a string of "execution-style" shootings across four homes in Pike County, Ohio, WLWT Cincinnati reports.
The victims were all family members, and other extended family members in the region have expressed fear for their own safety. Pike County Sheriff Charles Reader and Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine have said in a joint statement they are conducting searches. "The assailant is probably loose somewhere," DeWine said Friday.
The police have confirmed the attacks are not an active shooter situation. "It looks like two teenagers dead and it looks like young children who must have been there when it occurred," DeWine said on WLW, adding that the "young children" were not killed. According to what police told the family's pastor, the dead include a grandmother, grandfather, their two adult children, the girlfriend of one of their children, and the brother and nephew of the grandfather. The Ohio Attorney General's Office has said that two of the slain victims were juveniles, The New York Daily News reports.

None of the deaths appeared to be suicides, indicating the killer is still on the loose. No motive is known at this time.
