"Rick Perry is kind of desperately putting himself out there as a vice presidential prospect," Jimmy Kimmel said on Tuesday's Kimmel Live. In fact, he said, the former Texas governor released a new ad backing Donald Trump and trying to put a positive spin on that time he called him a "cancer on conservatism." The ad is fake, of course, but it starts out almost plausibly, with a Perry impersonator acknowledging that he called Trump a cancer. "And today, I'm proud to support that cancer for president of the United States," the fake Perry said. "We need growth, and that's what cancer is, a growth, right? And some cancers are benign." It got kind of uncomfortable after fake Perry talked about a polyp in his uncle's colon. "I believe that's the kind of cancer Donald Trump will be as president: benign ass cancer." Watch below to see the anal malady Perry proposed for his own nickname. Peter Weber
