Violence erupted late Thursday night after two snipers reportedly shot at least 11 police officers during a protest in Dallas. The protest had been a peaceful demonstration after the officer-involved shooting deaths of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Tuesday and Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minnesota, on Wednesday. The Dallas Police Department announced four officers have died, and more are recovering.

A woman named Allison shared video she took from her living room that captures the jarring audio of multiple shots being fired on the Dallas streets:

The Dallas Police Department circulated a photo of a person of interest on social media; that man turned himself in to police, and his brother told CBS that he is not a suspect. A separate suspect is in custody after engaging in a shootout with Dallas SWAT forces. The bomb squad of the Dallas Police Department is investigating a "suspicious package" found near the location of the second suspect.
