Joe Perry was taken to the hospital Sunday night after collapsing during a concert in New York City. The 65-year-old Aerosmith guitarist was performing with Johnny Depp and Alice Cooper in their side band, Hollywood Vampires, at the Ford Amphitheater on the Coney Island Boardwalk when witnesses say he began to stagger onstage.
Concertgoers said he then stumbled backstage and fell, ABC New York reports. An EMT in the audience went onstage and gave Perry CPR, and firefighters came and carried him away. The New York Police Department told ABC News Perry was evaluated at the Coney Island Hospital emergency room then transferred to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital for an undisclosed reason.
