Stephen Colbert had some choice words for Donald Trump on Monday night's The Late Show. In a special segment called "The Werd," Colbert called Trump everything from a "P.O.S." to a "D-Bag" — all without actually calling him either of these things.

Colbert explained that although those acronyms might typically stand for less politically correct phrases, he was just using them in place of other phrases because of "space considerations." So, for instance, while Colbert called Trump a "dad bag," the screen flashed the abbreviated version of that, which turned out to be "D-Bag." And when the screen noted "McCain = P.O.W., Trump = P.O.S.," Colbert explained "that just stands for part of society."
