Ivanka Trump will join her father Donald Trump on the campaign trail in Aston, Pennsylvania, Tuesday night to present child care policies that she has reportedly spent "considerable" time developing, CNN reports. Per a campaign memo shared with The Washington Post early Tuesday, the Trump plan "will rewrite the tax code to allow working parents to deduct from their income taxes child-care expenses for up to four children and elderly dependents." Those deductions will be capped at "the average cost of care" and they will only be available to individuals that make less than $250,000 or couples that make less than $500,000.
Other proposals include "additional spending rebates through the Earned Income Tax Credit, expanded deduction opportunities for stay-at-home parents, and revised federal savings accounts to set aside funds for child development and educational needs," as well as a guaranteed "six weeks of paid maternity leave," The Post reported.
Ivanka's Tuesday night appearance introducing her father will mark her first time on the campaign trail since she spoke at the Republican National Convention in July.
