Fox News' Bill O'Reilly and Jesse Watters had what they deemed "gentle fun" in a blatantly racist segment on New York City's Chinatown that aired last weekend. "They just sit there and say nothing," Watters marveled to O'Reilly after having insulted all of his interview subjects to their faces.
The Daily Show's Trevor Noah and his correspondent, Ronny Chieng, responded to the clip with outrage that, while hilarious, is also utterly genuine. "What the hell was that? How was that on the news?" Chieng said. "In fact, how was that even on TV? Where the f--- did this come from? I mean, everyone was wondering who would be the target of 2016's worst racism; I didn't even know Asians were in the running."
Oh, and as for Watters wondering why some of his subjects wouldn't talk to him? Chieng has an answer for that, too: "Hey a--hole, they don't speak English, that's why they're silent. It's easy to make fun of someone when they can't respond. Here, I'll show you." Watch where that line of thinking goes, as well as the rest of The Daily Show's perfect response, below. Jeva Lange
