Obama kicked off Election Day with a basketball game

President Obama headed to Fort McNair, a small U.S. military base in Washington, D.C., for a casual game of basketball with friends and prominent supporters Tuesday morning.

The game is an Election Day tradition Obama completed throughout his own presidential campaigns — except for the morning of the New Hampshire primary in 2008, a contest then-rival Hillary Clinton won. Now, Obama is completing the ritual on Clinton's behalf.

Whether the game will be quite as enjoyable as past years is another matter. "These days, I've gotten to the point where it's not as much fun," the 55-year-old said in 2015, "because I'm not as good as I used to be, and I get frustrated."
