Right-wing radio host Alex Jones claims Trump thanked him after the election for 'standing up for what's right'

Conservative radio show host Alex Jones announced over the weekend that President-elect Donald Trump gave him a call after he won the presidential election. "He said, 'Listen, Alex, I just talked to kings and queens of the world, world leaders, you name it ... but it doesn't matter. I wanted to talk to you, to thank your audience, and I'll be on [the show] the next few weeks to thank them," Jones said in a video posted to Infowars.com, the website he operates.
Jones claimed Trump was grateful that listeners of Jones' radio show never stopped "standing up for what's right." "It shows he's not the average elitist," Jones said of Trump's call, applauding the fact that we "finally have people in Washington" who "don't buy the propaganda of the big main-line corporations that are using weaponized media to mind-control simple-minded people."
Trump's campaign has not confirmed the call. In the same video, Jones, who has peddled conspiracy theories about the Sandy Hook shooting and 9/11, also said that Democrats "stole five states on Nov. 8 but still lost."
