The original Gerber Baby was just four months old when her famous portrait was sketched out in charcoal, Today reports. The picture, drawn by a family friend, was then submitted to the Gerber competition, which aimed at finding an official face for the brand. The artist included a note saying the hastily drawn picture would be finished if the sketch was chosen.

The judges liked the sketch so much, though, that they accepted the portrait as it was. Tiny Ann Taylor Cook was the lucky winner.
