Donald Trump is reportedly 'furious' over Kellyanne Conway's remarks about Mitt Romney
President-elect Donald Trump reportedly is not happy that aide Kellyanne Conway is publicly airing her doubts about Mitt Romney, a potential contender for secretary of state. Morning Joe reported Monday that Trump is "furious" that Conway suggested on Sunday's Meet the Press that Trump's voters would feel "betrayed" if he tapped Romney for the job.
"Kellyanne went rogue at Donald Trump's expense at the worst possible time," said Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski, citing a "source" familiar with Trump's thinking. Brzezinski also reported a top Trump aide said the team was "'baffled' by Conway's comments."
Conway insisted Sunday she was not "campaigning against anyone," but acting as a "concerned citizen" by divulging her concerns. However, Morning Joe reported her move "feeds into a growing concern" within Trump's team that Conway is less concerned about being a team player than "pushing her own agenda."
