Nine people were hospitalized after a Monday attack at Ohio State University. Eight victims are in stable condition and one is in critical condition after a man drove a car over the curb, striking pedestrians, and then exited the vehicle wielding a butcher knife. The suspect was shot and killed by police.
OSU Emergency Management indicated in a tweet that the incident occurred near Watts Hall at the main Columbus, Ohio, campus, and that "the scene is now secure." Initially, the incident was reported as an "active shooter" situation. The investigation is ongoing, but officials say it appears it was "done on purpose."
