Trevor Noah got into an incredibly heated debate with The Blaze's Tomi Lahren last night
The Daily Show's Trevor Noah didn't let The Blaze's Tomi Lahren off easy when she appeared on his show Wednesday night. In a nearly 30-minute interview, Noah interrogated Lahren's arguments against everything from the Black Lives Matter movement to football player Colin Kaepernick's refusal to stand for the national anthem. "Why are you so angry?" Noah immediately asked Lahren, after playing a clip from her show of her railing on protests against President-elect Donald Trump. "Sometimes people just need to be called on their sh-t," Lahren responded.
That comment seemed to plant a seed in Noah's head, because he proceeded to point out to Lahren that it's not possible "Black Lives Matter is the new KKK," as she has claimed it to be, if "the KKK is still around." "You're starting to loot, burn, and riot — what did the KKK do?" Lahren said, defending her criticism of the Black Lives Matter movement. "Did you say, 'What did the KKK do?'" Noah said.
Noah pointed out that there is a "distinction between a movement and the people." "You are the same person who argued on your show that just because Trump has supporters from the KKK doesn't mean he's in the KKK," Noah said.
