Former FBI Director James Comey on Thursday assured Americans of the FBI's integrity as he testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee about his conversations with President Trump regarding the Russia probe. "The FBI is honest. The FBI is strong," Comey said. "And the FBI is and always will be independent."
Comey also took a moment in his opening statement to say goodbye to his former colleagues, whom he didn't get a chance to say goodbye to "properly" after he was abruptly fired by Trump last month. "It was the honor of my life to serve beside you," he said.
