Former Democratic Rep. Gabby Giffords — who was shot in 2011 in an assassination attempt — took to Twitter on Wednesday to react to news of a gunman opening fire on Republican lawmakers at baseball practice:
Giffords was the last member of Congress to be shot before Wednesday's attack. A number of people were injured in Wednesday's shooting, including Majority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.). Read The Week's full coverage here.
