A former Disney Channel star is joining the White House press team
The White House is branching out, with its latest hire not coming from Fox News, but the Disney Channel.
Caroline Sunshine, 22, starred alongside Zendaya on Shake It Up from 2010 to 2013. She will work as a press assistant, but this isn't her first foray into politics — a White House spokeswoman told CNN Sunshine has served as an intern at the White House and for House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), the California Republican Party, and the College Republican National Committee. While in college, Sunshine was on a Model U.N. team and involved with the American Enterprise Institute.
