Fox revives Tim Allen's Last Man Standing a year after it was canceled by ABC
Tim Allen's comedy series Last Man Standing will be returning to the airwaves for a seventh season, The Hollywood Reporter reported Friday. The revived show will find a home at Fox, just a year after the show was canceled by ABC.
"Team LMS was in the sixth inning, ahead by four runs, stands were packed and then for no reason, they call off the game," Allen said in a statement announcing the news. "Now we get the news from Fox that it's time to get back out on that diamond — hell yes, I'm excited!"
Allen plays the series' conservative protagonist, Mike Baxter. Nancy Travis, Jonathan Adams, Amanda Fuller, Christoph Sanders, and Jordan Masterson have also signed on for the seventh season, per The Hollywood Reporter.

There is no episode count or release date for the new season yet. At the time of its cancelation, Last Man Standing was second only to Modern Family in viewership, The Hollywood Reporter noted.
On Thursday, Fox announced the cancellation of several shows, including the Andy Samberg vehicle Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and the Will Forte-led Last Man on Earth.
