Ryan Reynolds to produce a stoner comedy inspired by Home Alone

Ryan Reynolds has signed on to produce Stoned Alone, the plot of which sounds like it was dreamed up by someone who fell asleep on 4/20 while thinking about the Wet Bandits.
Stoned Alone is in early development at Fox, and Reynolds might star in it as well. Deadline reports that the movie, based on the '90s classic Home Alone, centers around a pothead who is supposed to go on a holiday ski trip, but misses his flight. He goes home, gets high, and then thinks his house is being robbed but can't tell. It turns out there really are bad guys inside, and chaos ensues as he attempts to defend his home.
Home Alone was released in theaters nearly 28 years ago, and grossed $476 million, made Macauley Culkin a star, and left us all wondering how Marv and Harry survived being hit by irons, paint cans, and a blowtorch.
