Rather than show up to the 2018 Emmy Awards in the expected designer gown, the Black-ish star stood out in her Nike athleisure look. When asked about the custom sweater, she told Variety that she went with the outfit to applaud Nike "for supporting Colin Kaepernick and his protest against racial injustice and police brutality."
