Sarah Huckabee Sanders says it's 'ludicrous' to suggest the FBI should have interviewed Ford

The White House is pushing back against complaints that the FBI's new background investigation into Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was incomplete.
Senators on Thursday received a report on the FBI's investigation, ordered in light of the multiple sexual misconduct allegations against Kavanaugh, which he denies. Some Democrats have been critical of the fact that the agency only spoke with nine witnesses and notably did not include an interview with Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has accused Kavanaugh of groping her and attempting to rape her in high school. The "most notable part of this report is what's not in it," Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said on Thursday, accusing the White House of limiting the probe.
But White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders argued that the idea that the FBI needed to interview Ford is "ludicrous," saying Ford already provided all of the information Congress needs when she testified before the Senate last week. Senators had "ample opportunity to ask any question they wanted," Sanders said, and if these senators don't have enough information, "that's their own fault." She then accused Democrats of complaining for political reasons: "It's a total sham."
