Republican Andy Barr wins re-election in Kentucky's 6th Congressional District
Incumbent Rep. Andy Barr (R) is the winner in Kentucky's 6th Congressional District, defeating Democrat Amy McGrath, NBC News and The Associated Press both project.
Barr, the conservative three-time incumbent, won his last election by more than 20 points; this time, he's expected to win by about three points. Polls showed Barr and McGrath in a tight race leading up to Election Day. McGrath served as a Marine, flying in combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, and retired in 2017 as a lieutenant colonel.
