Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas) has committed the cardinal sin of dentist appointments.
In the most obvious display of what you shouldn't do while someone is cleaning your mouth, the failed Senate candidate and potential 2020 aspirant has decided to not only talk with his mouth full of dental gadgets, but also broadcast the experience on his Instagram story.
"So I'm here at the dentist," O'Rourke explains in his Thursday video, adding that "we're going to continue our series on 'people of the border.'" He then asks his dental hygienist Diana about her experience growing up in El Paso, Texas.

O'Rourke has been using his Instagram to ask his Texas constituents about their lives, calling it his "people of the border" series. He's just one of the many Instagram followers of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) broadcasting their everyday lives as rumors swirl around potential 2020 runs. But while Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) may be showing the world she can crack open a cold one on New Year's Eve, she isn't going so far as to show us her tonsils.
