Louisiana man accused of killing 5 arrested in Virginia
Police found and arrested 21-year-old Dakota Theriot, accused of killing five people, on Sunday morning in Richmond County, Virginia.
The search for Theriot began Saturday morning after he allegedly killed his parents and three others in Louisiana. The Richmond County Sheriff's Office now has him in custody and will transport him back to Ascension Parish, Louisiana, where the shootings took place, reports NBC News.
Investigators believe Theriot fatally shot a 20-year-old woman believed to be his girlfriend, Summer Ernest, along with her father and brother at their home. He then allegedly took the truck of Ernest's father and drove to kill his parents. Theriot's father, Keith, gave police information pointing to his son before dying of his wounds.

The Ernests had been housing Theriot for several weeks, but he was recently asked to leave and not return, reports CNN. Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard said investigators spoke with Ernest's mother, who told them there were "no red flags, there was no sign of anything."
Theriot faces five counts of first degree murder, home invasion, theft of a motor vehicle, and illegal use of weapons for the murders.
