Fans of the Caped Crusader, mark your calendars: The Batman, written and directed by Matt Reeves, will hit theaters on June 25, 2021.

After playing Batman in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, and Justice League, Ben Affleck won't be back for this movie. The film is focusing on a younger Batman, and he will be "more in his detective mode than we've seen in the films," Reeves told The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday. "It's very much a point of view-driven, noir Batman tale. It's told very squarely on his shoulders, and I hope it's going to be a story that will be thrilling, but also emotional."
