Terrifying new Game of Thrones teaser shows Winterfell abandoned

This is not a drill: There are only 12 days left until Game of Thrones returns for its final season, and HBO just dropped the most disconcerting trailer yet.
Opening on an apparently abandoned Winterfell, the footage shows what appears to be the carnage after a major battle in the North. But that's not even the worst part — in the settling snow, we see Arya Stark's sword Needle, Bran Stark's broken wheelchair, Tyrion's Hand of the King pin, Daenerys' cross-body three-headed dragon chain, Jaime Lannister's golden hand, and Jon Snow's wolf-headed blade, Longclaw.
That ... can't be good?
