ABC orders black-ish spin-off mixed-ish

ABC's hit comedy black-ish already has one spin-off, grown-ish, and is about to have a second.
The network announced on Tuesday that it not only renewed black-ish for a sixth season, but also ordered a show based on main character Rainbow Johnson's life in the 1980s, called mixed-ish. The show takes place during a time of upheaval, after her mixed-race family moves from a commune to the suburbs, Deadline reports.
Written by Peter Saji and black-ish creator Kenya Barris, mixed-ish stars Arica Himmel as young Bow; Tika Sumpter as Alicia; Christina Anthony as Denise; Mykal-Michelle Harris as Santamonica; and Ethan Childress as Johan.
