As they wait for their day in court, Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, have been keeping a close eye on Felicity Huffman's legal journey.
Huffman, Loughlin, and Giannulli are all embroiled in a college admissions scandal that came to light in March. Huffman pleaded guilty on Monday to a conspiracy charge for paying a person $15,000 to correct her daughter's SAT exam, and prosecutors are recommending she serve four months in jail, a term at the low end of sentencing guidelines.
A friend of Loughlin's told People on Tuesday the actress is "relieved that it doesn't look like the prosecution is making an example of Felicity, and is adhering to the law." Loughlin, best known for playing Becky Katsopolis on Full House and appearing in Hallmark Channel movies and television shows, is worried that she will "be treated unfairly as one of the more famous people involved in the case," her friend said. "She's afraid of being penalized for her fame, but it looks like prosecutors may be making a good faith effort to treat each defendant fairly."

Loughlin and Giannulli are accused of paying an admissions consultant $500,000 in order to get their two daughters into the University of Southern California, and pleaded not guilty last month. If convicted of mail fraud and money laundering conspiracy, they could face up to 20 years in prison on each charge. Loughlin and Giannulli turned down a plea deal because it included jail time.
