Friends is coming to theaters for a special 25th anniversary event

Friends premiered on Sept. 22, 1994, and to celebrate 25 years of Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey, and Ross, more than 1,000 movie theaters across the United States will screen 12 newly remastered episodes of the show.
Friends 25th: The One with the Anniversary will take place over three nights: Sept. 23 and 28 and Oct. 2. Each night, four episodes — all of them converted from 35mm camera negatives to 4K — will play, as well as new interviews and content never before seen. Some of the show's most beloved episodes will be screened, including "The One with the Prom Video" and "The One Where No One's Ready."
Warner Bros. Television Group President and Chief Marketing Officer Lisa Gregorian told People the "cultural impact that Friends continues to have, 25 years after its premiere, is astounding," and she thinks it's "so amazing to know that the series is still bringing people of all ages together." Tickets for Friends 25th: The One with the Anniversary, go on sale August 16.
