Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema sees Ted Cruz as an 'ally'

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) is not here for your congressional conventions.

After winning a tight race in her now-certified swing state last year, Sinema has remained firmly between the aisles. She has voted to support several of President Trump's nominees, considers a few Republicans to be her closest pals in the Senate, and won't even discuss who she's supporting in her state's own Senate race next year, Politico reports in a profile published Tuesday.
