Laura Dern wins her 5th Golden Globe for Marriage Story
Laura Dern just keeps racking up Golden Globe Awards.
Dern took home a fifth prize at Sunday's show, winning Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture for her performance in Marriage Story.
The actress was considered the frontrunner in this category, in part because the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has historically loved her performances. She most recently won a supporting actress award in 2018 for her role on Big Little Lies, also previously winning for Enlightened, Recount, and Afterburn.

Jennifer Lopez was another contender in this category for her performance in Hustlers, but Dern's win here certainly bodes well for the Academy Awards, nominations for which will be announced on Jan. 13.
