At least eight people are dead and five seriously injured following two shootings at hookah bars in Hanau, Germany.

The first shooting took place in the central part of the city at a bar called Midnight, where three people were killed, the German broadcaster Hessenschau reports. Police say the suspects got into a dark vehicle and drove to another neighborhood, where they opened fire at the Arena Bar & Cafe, killing at least five people.

There are still multiple suspects at large, police say, and there is no information on a motive. Hanau is a city of about 100,000 people, east of Frankfurt.
