Fifth time's a charm?
Good Morning America announced Monday that longtime Bachelor Nation standby Clare Crawley, 38, will be the Bachelorette for the show's 16th season, after having sought love on Bachelor shows four times previously. Clare had finished as runner-up on Juan Pablo's season in 2014, where she famously ranted at a raccoon, and appeared on the first and second seasons of Bachelor in Paradise as well as in the Bachelor Winter Games in 2018, where she got engaged to Benoit Beauséjour-Savard (the couple had a "respectful" split a few months later, Vulture recalls).
Notably, Clare did not appear on Peter Weber's season, marking a break from the tradition of selecting a Bachelorette from the Bachelor season that just ended.

Bachelor Nation gossip blogger Reality Steve claims that several potential suitors have already been cut from the forthcoming season for being too young for Clare, who is the oldest Bachelorette yet and will represent a refreshing break from the show's typical crop of 20-something leads. "She's very positive about what the season will hold," GMA reports. And so are we!
