Liverpool take on Flamengo in the Fifa Club World Cup final on Saturday

Liverpool will play in the Fifa Club World Cup final on Saturday 21 December after beating Monterrey 2-1 in Wednesday’s semi-final in Doha.

The Champions League holders will face Brazilian side Flamengo in the final, which kicks off at 5.30pm (GMT) on Saturday and is live on BBC One.

Al-Hilal, who lost 3-1 in their semi-final against Flamengo, will take on Monterrey in the third-fourth place match on Saturday at 2.30pm (GMT).

Third-fourth place match

Final

  • Saturday 21 December: Liverpool vs. Flamengo (5.30pm, live on BBC One)

What else is on in December?

England’s cricket team are touring South Africa with the first Test in Centurion from 26-30 December (live on Sky Sports).

Also this month the Mubadala World Tennis Championship is held in Abu Dhabi from 19-21 December. The event will feature world No.1 Rafael Nadal and world No.2 Novak Djokovic.

Festive football

Football is also on the menu with Premier League games taking place throughout Christmas and New Year.

The action will be live on Sky Sports and BT Sport while Amazon Prime is showing a full Premier League fixture list on 26-27 December.
