Peeking at Clooney's charts

Forty workers at Palisades Medical Centre in North Bergen, New Jersey have been suspended without pay for allegedly looking at George Clooney

Forty workers at Palisades Medical Centre in North Bergen, N.J., were suspended without pay this week for allegedly looking at George Clooney’s medical records while the actor and his girlfriend were being treated at the hospital after a motorcycle accident. Clooney tried in vain to put in a good word for the workers. “While I very much believe in a patient’s right to privacy," he said, "I would hope that this could be settled without suspending medical workers.”

Clooney wasn’t the only one hurt by this, said Gina Piccalo in the Los Angeles Times. Palisades Medical Centre is now “struggling to go about its daily work while at the eye of a celebrity news story.” And it’s actually pretty surprising that Clooney has remained so calm about all of this, considering that he’s “known for his lively debates with the media on its treatment of celebrities.”
