Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) declared Monday morning that he is indeed running for president, becoming the 15th prominent Republican to enter the race. "I'm running for president to fight and win for the American people," Walker said in his announcement video. "Without sacrificing our principles, we won three elections in four years in a blue state," he added, referring to his highly publicized battle with Wisconsin's unions, which led to a recall election that Walker won.

Walker has an early lead in Iowa, which holds the critical first-in-the-nation caucuses. The Real Clear Politics poll average shows him with 17.8 percent, nearly double Jeb Bush and Rand Paul, who are tied for second at 9.8 percent.
