A U.S. official reportedly told CNN Wednesday that the Russian plane crash over the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt over the weekend "was most likely caused" by a bomb planted on the passenger plane by ISIS or an ISIS affiliate. The official said that U.S. intelligence has yet to reach a formal consensus on the cause of the crash that left all 224 people aboard dead, but that "the analysis is pointing toward the cause being a bomb."

"There is a definite feeling it was an explosive device planted in luggage or somewhere on the plane," the official told CNN.
