Forget Donald Trump — young voters are flocking to Hillary Clinton and Marco Rubio in equal droves, according to a national NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released Monday. The results reveal that Rubio ties Clinton for the youth vote 45 to 45.

Young voters are a famously difficult demographic to motivate to vote, and as Vox points out, since "Democrats are gambling their future on their natural affinity with young voters [...] they ought to be paying attention to the findings now." Notably, young women have been bailing on Clinton's campaign in favor of Bernie Sanders, while Marco Rubio appeals to other young voters with his youth, immigrant background, and calls for change.
