Investigators conducting a raid in the Schaerbeek area of Brussels on Tuesday night found "an explosive device containing nails," chemicals, and an Islamic State flag, the prosecutor's office announced.

The raid came after bomb blasts at the Brussels airport and a metro station killed at least 34 people and injured dozens more; ISIS has claimed responsibility. After surveillance footage was released showing three suspects at the airport, a taxi driver came forward to say he recognized the men as passengers he drove to the airport before the blasts, U.S. officials told CNN. The driver also said some of the men would not let him handle their suitcases. The Schaerbeek raid was conducted after the driver gave authorities the address where he had picked the men up earlier in the day.
