Delta Airlines flights across the globe were stuck on the ground Monday after a power outage in Atlanta caused its computer systems to go down. "Large-scale cancellations are expected today," the company said in a statement, released at 7:30 a.m. ET Monday. "All flights enroute are operating normally. We are aware that flight status systems, including airport screens, are incorrectly showing flights on time. We apologize to customers who are affected by this issue, and our teams are working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible."

The outage has affected the company's IT systems "everywhere," including the company's website, The Associated Press reported. While Delta is hopeful "it won't be much longer," the company has yet to give a more concrete estimate as to when things might be back up and running.
