1. Obama eulogizes Beau Biden: 'The consummate public servant'

President Barack Obama called the late Beau Biden "the consummate public servant" during the funeral service Saturday for Vice President Joe Biden's eldest son in Wilmington, Delaware. "He did in 46 years what most of us couldn't do in 146," Obama said Saturday of Delaware's former attorney general, who died of brain cancer last week. "He left nothing in the tank."

2. American Pharoah wins Triple Crown

American Pharoah on Saturday became the first horse in 37 years to win the elusive Triple Crown, after he completed his sweep of the three major horse-racing events of the year by winning the Belmont Stakes. Led by rider Victor Espinoza, American Pharoah is only the 12th horse in history to achieve the feat.

3. G7 summit to address Ukraine, Greek bailout

World leaders are meeting in Bavaria, Germany for the annual G7 summit starting Sunday. President Barack Obama is expected to call for more stringent enforcement of sanctions against Russia following violence in Ukraine this week. The G7 excluded Russian President Vladimir Putin from the summit after his involvement in the Ukraine rebellion last year, The Guardian reports. Leaders will also discuss Greece, which hasn't yet reached a deal with European creditors after delaying a payment to the International Monetary Fund. Climate change is also on the agenda.

4. 2 convicted murderers escape New York prison

Two convicted murderers escaped from New York's largest state prison early Saturday morning and remain at large, the New York Times reports. The inmates in adjoining cells at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora were both serving life sentences. A manhunt is underway for Richard Matt and David Sweat, who drilled their way out of the cells and past the maximum-security prison's 30-foot walls. The two fooled guards with dummies made of sweatshirts.

5. Serena Williams wins French Open, 20th Grand Slam title

Serena Williams beat Lucie Safarova in three sets Saturday to win her third French Open and 20th Grand Slam title. The U.S. star won the first set 6-3 before dropping the second to No. 13 Safarova, of the Czech Republic. But Williams, 33, who is internationally ranked No. 1 in women's tennis, came back 6-2 in the third set to secure the win. Only two women in tennis history have notched more major tournament victories than Williams, the Associated Press notes: Margaret Smith Court and Steffi Graf, with 24 and 22 titles, respectively.

6. Deutsche Bank co-CEOs resign

Deutsche Bank co-CEOs Anshu Jain and Jürgen Fitschen resigned Sunday, the Wall Street Journal reports. The moves follow the German Bank's $2.5 billion settlement for manipulation of interest rates on trillions of dollars worth of debt and the Britain subsidiary pleading guilty to fraud. Jain will leave at the end of the month and Fitschen will stay on until next May. They will be replaced by John Cryan, a member of the bank's supervisory board.

7. Republican candidates kick off campaign season with motorcycle ride and pork roast

Seven Republican presidential hopefuls spent their Saturday in Iowa, a state notorious for its early caucus. Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) of hog castration fame organized the Roast and Ride, a fundraiser for her PAC, ABC News reports. Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, conservative activist Ben Carson, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker are all taking part in the festivities. All but Walker have formally announced their 2016 bids.

8. India and Bangladesh sign historic land agreement

India and Bangladesh signed an agreement Saturday to clarify their border, Reuters reports. The deal, which adjusts territorial rights established in 1713, will help 52,000 people who have been living in enclaves without access to public services. Everyone will be allowed to either stay where they are or move across the border. Prime ministers Narendra Modi of India and Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh signed the agreement in Dhaka, Bangladesh's capital. They also agreed to $4.5 billion investments in power and a $2 billion credit facility for Bangladesh.

9. Netanyahu critical of silence on Gaza rockets

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized the international community's silence on three non-deadly rocket attacks from Gaza over the past two weeks. "It will be interesting to see if this silence continues when we use all our strength in exercising our right to defend ourselves," Netanyahu said. "It should be clear: The hypocrisy that is sweeping the world will not chain our hands from defending the citizens of Israel."

10. Tampa Bay Lightning pull even in Stanley Cup finals

With 11 minutes left, Jason Garrison took advantage of a power play and scored the game-winning goal for the Tampa Bay Lightning on home ice. The 4-3 victory versus the Chicago Blackhawks tied the Stanley Cup finals at 1. The Bolts aren't saying why goaltender Ben Bishop left the ice twice. The series moves to the Windy City for Monday night's Game 3.
