The cult 1990s game show The Crystal Maze is being revived for a "live immersive experience" in London.
Running for six seasons over five years, The Crystal Maze was one of Channel 4's highest-rating shows of the early 1990s. Contestants attempted to collect crystals by completing physical and mental challenges across four zones – Medieval, Industrial, Aztec and Futuristic. Those who made it to the end won a prize if they could grab more than 100 flying golden tokens in The Crystal Dome.
Organisers of the upcoming Crystal Maze event have said they are "lovingly recreating the famous set just as it was on the original show", including all four zones and the Dome.

"You'll get to play the maze just as contestants did on the original show – placing you at the centre of the action. What we really want is for people to live the magic of the hit television programme for themselves," they told CNBC.
Details on their website are scant, but fans can register their interest to be first on the "show", which is said to be "coming soon".
The producers have said they intend to finance the event through crowdfunding, with plans to launch an Indiegogo page on 14 June.
"The legendary game show is back," they announced. "But this time we all get to play!"
There is no word yet as to whether presenter Richard O'Brien, now 73, might be involved – although an artist's impression posted on Instagram by organisers includes a bald-headed presenter who looks suspiciously like the original host. The picture also suggests that members of the public might be able to watch contestants live as they battle to win crystals.
"Start the fans, please!" says Radio Times. The "beloved" 90s game show is coming back.
