#Treesfortrees campaign launches to plant 10,000 trees in a day
Heart of England Forest and Dennis Publishing join up for 'Do it Day' event
[[{"type":"media","view_mode":"content_original","fid":"86230","attributes":{"class":"media-image"}}]]Dennis Publishing and the Heart of England Forest will attempt to plant 10,000 trees in one day on 2 November to highlight the lack of woodland cover in the UK.
The #treesfortrees hashtag has been created to get people to send in their representations of 'what a tree means to you' over Twitter or by email. For every picture, drawing or photo received, the two organisations will plant a tree in the Heart of England Forest.
Throughout the day, a virtual representation of the challenge will be available to view at www.treesfortrees.co.uk – and one lucky entrant will be given the opportunity to name the area of woodland planted that day.

The event is part of a wider campaign by the media brand The Drum called 'Do it Day', which aims to get companies involved in changing the world for the better through taking action on the 2 November 2015.
Jon Snow, Broadcaster and Chairman of the Trustees for the Heart of England Forest Charity said: "We're delighted to be involved with The Drum's Do It Day. Planting 10,000 trees in one day is no mean feat and we need the British public's support to help us achieve it.
"With Dennis Publishing and the Do It Day partners' support, we are confident that we will make the #treesfortrees campaign a reality and plant an entire forest in a day. It's a fantastic challenge and one that I urge everyone to get involved with."
James Tye, CEO of Dennis Publishing said: "Being involved in Do It Day has been brilliant for us. It's a difficult challenge, but one we believe is truly unique and will make a real difference to woodland coverage in the UK.
"Over 200 staff from Dennis have volunteered to help plant the 10,000 trees on 2nd November. We look forward to receiving everyone's images so we can start planting the forest."
The Heart of England Forest Charity was set up in 1996 by Felix Dennis, the late Chairman of Dennis Publishing, with the long-term goal of planting a 30,000 acre native broadleaf woodland in the heart of England.
The purpose of the forest is to create a place of tranquillity and natural beauty that's open to everyone to enjoy for generations to come.
You can find out more information, and watch the virtual forest grow on the website www.treesfortrees.co.uk.
