Same day gift deliveries: At your service
There's no excuse not to dine in style this festive season – even the most niche fare can be delivered direct to your door the same day
Food-and-drink delivery services have burgeoned since the digital revolution, with courier companies widening their offer to encompass ever more luxurious goods. Here are three of the best offering speedy service.
The Fine Cheese Co
Perhaps most surprisingly, you can now order a high-end cheese board to arrive at your door – sometimes within the hour. The Fine Cheese Co, based in Bath, has paired up with delivery company Jinn. There are three hampers available: the Festive variety includes Compte, Colston Basset Stilton, Richard III Wensleydale and a cave-aged Cheddar truckle, as well as a jar each of blood-orange & pomegranate jelly and damsons in gin, and a Venchi Maserati salted-truffle cigar. Cheese lovers, rejoice!

Paul A Young
Arguably Britain's best artisan-chocolatier, Paul A Young creates his handmade wares using the finest ingredients. His chocolates have until recently been available only in his stores in London's Soho and Camden and in the City at The Royal Exchange. Now, however, they can also be ordered using Hubbub, a courier service working with independent local companies, meaning those with a sweet tooth can have award-winning fresh-filled chocolates, bars, boxes and brownies delivered within 24 hours.
The Finest Bubble
The season wouldn't be complete without champagne, and the aptly entitled The Finest Bubble has got it covered. Its prestige champagnes and English sparkling wines are available for same-day delivery in London and next-day delivery anywhere beyond on the UK mainland. Offering a range of stellar names such as Laurent-Perrier, Dom Perignon and Bollinger, plus bespoke vintage cases and even flutes from which to quaff, the website is sure to prove popular over the next few weeks.
