TSB has apologised after problems with its new online banking system saw some customers being able to access other peoples’ accounts.
Complaints are pouring in about issues related to the weekend upgrades, with one customer reporting that his account had incorrectly been credited with £13,000 when he logged in after the work was due to have been completed, at 6pm yesterday, BBC News reports.
Another customer claimed to have seen several other peoples’ accounts totalling more than £20,000, Sky News reports.

Customers took to social media to complain about the technical glitches on the web and mobile apps. One Twitter user complained of a “serious DPA [data protection act] breach”.
The Scottish-based bank had notified customers prior to this weekend’s upgrades that its online services could be hit with technical issues. The company said in a tweet that “online banking, making payments or transferring money wouldn’t be possible” over the weekend.
A message on the TSB website on Monday morning said there were still “intermittent issues” with its online system.
The company has warned that some services may not function “until the end of the month”, Alphr reports.
