The daily gossip: Dumb and Dumber To has officially started filming, and more
5 top pieces of celebrity gossip — from the unlikely Miley Cyrus-Steve Carrell feud to the latest, lamest Fifty Shades of Grey product
1. Dumb and Dumber To has officially started filming
Fresh off his Best Actor Emmy win for The Newsroom, Jeff Daniels has returned to the role truly worthy of his considerable talents: Harry Dunne, the character he first played in 1994's Dumb and Dumber. On Tuesday, Daniels tweeted a picture of himself and costar Jim Carrey in the costumes they wore for the original film. "We're back!!!" wrote Daniels, confirming the start of Dumb and Dumber To's production — or revealing a major twist for The Newsroom's third season. [USA Today]

2. Steve Carrell doesn't love being neighbors with Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus' nonstop campaign to drill it into our heads that she's not Hannah Montana anymore has reached its apotheosis with her interview for Rolling Stone, which was conducted while she was getting "ROLLING $TONE" tattooed on her feet. (Just being Miley!) But the endlessly indulgent profile does have one tantalizing detail: Cyrus' passive-aggressive relationship with neighbor Steve Carrell. "He always gives me the stank-eye because I drive so fast," says Cyrus. "I'm like, oh my God, Dan in Real Life is watching me right now!" A statement that proves Cyrus' love of twerking is equaled only by her knowledge of obscure Steve Carrell dramedies. [Rolling Stone]

When Fifty Shades of Grey became an unexpected cultural phenomenon, marketers were quick to capitalize, which is why you can now buy generic lingerie or classic music CDs with the label Fifty Shades of Grey arbitrarily slapped on them. But what about the mommy porn fan that also wants to get ragingly drunk? Fortunately, author E.L. James has corrected this massive oversight by partnering with California winemakers to create a Fifty Shades of Grey collection of wine blends. One can only imagine the delightful role-playing scenarios this latest product opens up. ("Oooh, Mr. Grey, I love your knack for corporate synergy.") [TIME]

4. You can now waste your money on an Atlas Shrugged: Part III Kickstarter campaign
Mass audiences failed to show up for the first two Atlas Shrugged movies, mysteriously deciding that they'd rather spend their time and money on films that don't just alternate between people arguing in board rooms and shots of trains. Having had their work roundly rejected by the free market, the film's producers have turned to the last resort for those who can't get their film produced under normal circumstances: Kickstarter. The filmmakers admit that they don't really need the $250,000 they're seeking to produce the final Atlas Shrugged movie, but that they want a marketing boost from "the onslaught" of negative blog posts and tweets about their project — so I'll be waiting for my official thank-you, guys. 5. The Fast & Furious spoof has cast its Paul Walker and Vin Diesel lookalikes
The Fast & Furious franchise essentially serves as its own parody, but that hasn't stopped writer-directors Aaron Seltzer and Jason Frieberg — the minds behind spoofs like Epic Movie, Date Movie, and a bunch of other movies you should never, ever see — from mounting their very own Fast & Furious spoof. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the duo's upcoming Superfast has cast Alex Ashbaugh and Dale Pavinski, two actors who have the remarkable ability to sort of resemble Paul Walker and Vin Diesel if you shoot them in the right light. Superfast starts shooting in October, but no release date has officially been set — so to be safe, maybe you should just avoid movie theaters altogether for a while. [The Hollywood Reporter]
